Andorra vs France 12/06/19
12 June 2019
Rocked by a recent loss to Turkey, France travel to Andorra la Vella to tackle Andorra at the Estadi Nacional in their European Championship Qualifier.
Unsurprisingly, the hosts have lost all three of their opening games in the European Championship Qualification Group H without scoring a single goal. Andorra struggling in competitive matches has now seen them fail to score in eleven of their last 13 outings in ECQ and WCQ, with Tricolors scoring precisely one goal per match in the remaining two meetings (D4, L9). What’s more, Koldo Álvarez’s players are winless in their last nine home games (D5, L4), with eight of those matches featuring under 2.5 goals while just two saw both teams score.
Big favorites to win here, the visitors are desperate to bounce back after a shock 2-0 away loss to Turkey a few days ago, which brought their four-game winning run to a halt. The reigning World Cup champions have been struggling for consistency ever since returning from Russia, pulling off six wins in ten games over the past ten months (W6, D2, L2), with both of those defeats coming away from home. Furthermore, Les Bleus have clinched just one triumph on four road trips in the post-World Cup period (W1, D1, L2), failing to find the net across all three of their failures across that period.
