Parma vs Lazio 21/10/18

21 October 2018

Parma and Lazio are set for a face-to-face meeting at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, with the hosts looking to extend a 2-game winning streak.

The Serie A returnees have opened the season off on the wrong foot, having won just 1 point in the opening three fixtures. However, after the previous international break, the Crusaders have clinched four victories in five games, defeating Inter Milan, Cagliari, Empoli, and Genoa in the process. Napoli were the only team to outscore the Yellow and Blues in the past four weeks, and they are also the only ones to score more than three goals against Roberto D’Aversa’s team. The Emilians have won both home matches in which they’ve managed to keep a clean sheet, while they’ve scored in all four matches in front of the home supporters.

On the other hand, the Biancocelesti are one of the three sides that are yet to play out a draw in Serie A, having secured five wins and suffered three defeats so far. The two out of those three losses came on the road, with Juventus and AS Roma outscoring the Eagles, both by a 2-goal margin. Moreover, Simone Inzaghi’s players only kept a clean sheet once on the road this season. The five out of the previous six Lazio’s matches in all competitions ended with two or more goals, with the Biancocelesti conceding at least one goal in each of these encounters.

According to the latest reports, Parma will enter the game at full strength, while Jordan Lukaku and Riza Durmisi should be the only absences in the visiting squad.
