FC Koln vs Bayern Munich 05/05/18
5 May 2018
A disastrous season for FC Koln, who are nailed to the bottom of the Bundesliga table without any chance of avoiding relegation whatsoever, and after five consecutive games without a win, they are going to face Bayern Munich in front of the home crowd. The Bavarians have already celebrated their sixth consecutive Bundesliga title, but the Champions League elimination to Real Madrid has left a bitter taste in their mouth especially because they’ve been dominating the game, but a couple of astonishing saves pulled-off by Keylor Navas have led Los Blancos to Kiev. The Billy Goats have only two victories in last thirteen league matches, both of them against the top-five teams on the standing, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, but their last win over Bayern dates back to 2011, which proves how complicated they find facing the German champions. Jupp Heynckes’ side have demonstrated exceptional football over the last couple of weeks, collecting five wins in a row in the league, scoring eighteen goals in the process.
Sehrou Guirassy and Matthias Lehmann are sidelined with injuries, while Jorge Meré won’t be available after accumulating his fifth yellow card. The visitors will be decimated by injuries suffered by Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Arturo Vidal, Jérôme Boateng, and Arjen Robben.
